Terms of use

Clear rules,
without surprises.

Effective 17 August 2026.

These terms apply to the KivoNote Android application, this website and related support. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

01

Provider and acceptance

The provider is identified in the Imprint. By installing or using KivoNote, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

02

Licence

KivoNote grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on compatible Android devices for lawful purposes. You may not sell, rent, redistribute, bypass access controls, extract protected components or misrepresent KivoNote as your own product except where applicable law or an open-source licence expressly permits it.

03

Your content

You retain rights in notes and files you create or import. You are responsible for having permission to use that content, for keeping appropriate backups and for avoiding unlawful or infringing material.

04

Availability and compatibility

Features can depend on Android version, device hardware, S Pen support and installed system services. We work to preserve editable data and compatibility, but do not promise uninterrupted operation on every device or every third-party PDF.

05

Standard and Full

Standard includes the complete KivoNote toolset with a library limit of 10 PDFs and 10 notebooks. An active Full entitlement removes those library limits. Purchases made through Google Play are also governed by Google's terms. Details appear in the Subscription Terms.

06

Updates and changes

We may update the app for security, compatibility and product improvements. Material changes to these terms will be presented with a new effective date. Where legally required, we will request consent before a change takes effect.

07

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory product and consumer protections. For other losses, liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

08

Law and contact

German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection available in their country of residence. Questions can be sent to support@kivonote.info.
