Device compatibility
KivoNote requires Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer. Handwriting, page navigation and split view work with any Android stylus, and are tuned for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series with S Pen. A touchscreen tablet is recommended; phones can browse and annotate but are not the primary target.
Essential actions
- Import a PDF
Open the library, choose Add document, then select a PDF through Android's file picker.
- Write with S Pen
The stylus writes while your finger scrolls. Hold the S Pen side button for a temporary eraser.
- Open page previews
Use the dedicated Pages control at the right of the editor toolbar, then tap a preview to navigate.
- Use split view
Open split view, choose a second notebook or page, and navigate each side independently.
Before reporting a PDF issue
- Confirm that the source file opens in another PDF reader.
- Record the page count and approximate file size.
- Include your tablet model and Android version.
- Do not attach confidential files unless private content has been removed.
Send feedback
Use Settings, Support, Send feedback in KivoNote, or email support@kivonote.info. The app can prepare diagnostic information only when you choose to share it.
Data safety
Read the current Privacy Policy. Account and cloud documentation will be published before any online service is introduced.
Frequently asked questions
- Which S Pen models are supported?
Any Samsung S Pen paired with a Galaxy Tab S device, plus generic Android styluses with palm rejection. Pressure and tilt depend on your device's own stylus hardware.
- What is the difference between Standard and Full?
Both plans include every KivoNote feature. Standard supports up to 10 PDFs and 10 notebooks; Full removes those library limits.
- Can I get my notes out of KivoNote?
Yes. Notes and imported documents stay in files you control, and export keeps source PDFs untouched.
- When is the public release?
KivoNote is in pre-release hardware testing. No fixed date yet — check the release status section for the current stage.
- Does KivoNote work on phones?
It can, but the interface, ink precision and split view are designed around tablet-size screens.
