KivoNote is offline-first. The initial release has no KivoNote account, cloud sync, advertising SDK or generative AI service.
Controller and contact
The service provider is identified in the Imprint. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@kivonote.info.
Data stored on your device
Notes, handwriting, text objects, imported documents, images, local search indexes, audio recordings, transcripts and recovery copies are stored in KivoNote's private app area. KivoNote does not upload this content to a KivoNote server in the initial release.
Files, microphone and recognition
KivoNote accesses only files you choose through Android's system picker. Microphone access is used only when you start a recording. Text and speech recognition may use Android or Google Play system components installed on your device; availability and processing behavior can depend on the recognition provider and your Android settings.
Google Play purchases
If you purchase Full, Google Play processes the transaction under Google's terms. KivoNote receives the information needed to verify and restore access, such as product and entitlement status. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
Website and support
This website does not use advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. The hosting provider may process limited technical logs such as IP address, timestamp and requested page for delivery and security. If you contact support, we process your message, contact details and any diagnostics you deliberately attach so that we can answer and resolve the request.
Legal bases and retention
Support and purchase-related processing is necessary to provide the requested service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Security and reliable website delivery rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Legal records are retained where required by law; support correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed for the request or a legal obligation.
Your choices and rights
You can delete notes permanently from Trash, remove recordings, export your work and uninstall the app. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and you may complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Changes to online services
This policy will be updated before KivoNote introduces accounts, cloud synchronization, collaboration, remote AI processing or other material online services.
